It has been a while since I posted. A lot has happened. In fact so much that it hurts my head to think about writing it all down. So, I will use bullet points to help get myself through, what feels like, a daunting task.
- Greg graduated… I don’t really know how to convey all of the emotions felt about this topic. BUT, there is and was MUCH joy! He will be in charge of telling you all about it.
- We moved. UH… I don’t know how or what to say about that topic either. We received much help, whether it be packing up my ridiculous amount of dishes, glasses, and platters, babysitting the “un-packer”(maybe I should expound… Emmalee IS a professional un-packer. She thinks that by removing what I have just placed in the box she is being tremendously helpful! I didn’t let her in on the secret that it indeed was not helpful, because she was so proud of herself!) cooking us a DELISH meal (Thanks Leni!) or moving all our HEAVY furniture into our new “home.” THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. You made the “6 days before Christmas move” a whole lot easier than it ever could have been!
- Christmas! There is a topic I could probably go on and on about! Christmas with Emmalee was so much fun. I feel like it was the first year in a LONG time that I got into Christmas a good month before it even came. I listened to Christmas music BEFORE Thanksgiving. I was able to attend ALL of the family Christmas parties (a grand total of 8!) I wasn’t worried about WHAT to give everyone, I took care of all that well in advance. It almost felt like a Christmas from my childhood again! Loved it! Emmalee was ALL about playing with her cousins and clapping for them as they jumped up and down about their gifts! She was SPOILED… of course, but we are very thankful for wonderful family who loves her so very much!
- The New Year has brought us some low key days, while Greg is in constant pursuit of a job/career. It is nice to have him home. To cook with, exercise with, and giggle with.
Ok, somehow I got through that. I know it wasn’t much and not as entertaining as Greg, but nonetheless I struggled with the task. Don’t be expecting much of a post from me for a while!
